Cold Water Fishing
The Upper section of the Colorado from Hot Sulphur Springs to Kremmling and the Williams Fork is not as big and mighty as stretches farther downstream. In comparison this section probably fishes better than the others and there are plenty of State Wildlife access areas and parking. In all the Upper Section of the Colorado River is a great example of a large and long Western-type fishing stream.
Rafting & Kayaking
The Upper section of the Colorado is a popular section for whitewater sports. This is a popular section for both day users and overnight trips. The primary put-in lies within a two hour drive from Denver, and this section is suitable for everyone, unlike other sections of the river, which are for the extreme expert.
