Aspen Highlands, one of four mountains in the Aspen/Snowmass resort complex, is known as the locals' favorite mountain. Located just three miles from downtown Aspen, Aspen Highlands is accessible by free shuttle. Aspen Highlands' 970 acres feature stunning views of the world-famous Maroon Bells, a 3,635 ft. vertical rise, and some of Colorado's most challenging terrain. With the addition of the new Deep Temerity Triple chairlift, 180 new acres of advanced, expert and extreme terrain is now availible. Directions from Denver: Take I-70 west to the Glenwood Springs exit #111. Follow Hwy 82 , 40 miles to Aspen. Aspen Highlands is located three miles from downtown Aspen.
