Crested Butte boasts 1,160 skiable acres with more double-diamond terrain then any other ski resort in Colorado. The lift lines are short if there are any. Whether you are a beginner just wanting to learn the basics, an intermediate desiring to cruise the blues or an expert wanting a fantastic challenge, then Crested Butte is a great place ski area for your next mountain vacation. Crested Butte is home to the US Extreme Skiing and Snowboard Championships, held there every year. The Historic Town of Crested Butte is truly one of the friendliest, most charming towns in the Rockies. It's been around for over a hundred years, and after a wander down Elk Avenue, the history will speak for itself. It truly is the last great Colorado ski town.
