If you don't like the idea of sliding on the snow, try the Crescent Moon Snowshoe Center. There are snowshoes to rent and access to upper and lower trails. Directions from Grand Junction: Take I-70 east to exit #47. Follow Hwy 65 east to Powderhorn.
