Hillsborough River State Park

Located in the western area of the park on three adjoining loops, the campground has 114 sites, 90 with electric hookup. Many of the sites accommodate RVs. Four of the campsites are handicapped accessible. There are 3 separate restroom facilities, 10 showers, laundry room, and a centrally located dump station.The youth / group campground is located off the second large parking lot (riverfront) and is situated on the interior of the park loop road near the wetlands. This group area accommodates up to 40 tent campers. The Hillsborough River is located footsteps away offering canoeing and fishing opportunities. A swimming pool, museum, historical fort, playground and riverfront hiking and biking trails add to the enjoyment of the camper's visit. There is even a handicapped overlook at the class II rapids. The park's hardwood hammock is productive wildlife habitat. Many species of birds and animals are recorded at the park.
Directions from Zephyrhills, FL: Travel six mile south along U.S. Highway 301 to reach the park entrance. Follow the one-way loop park road nearly 2/3 of the way back to the entrance. Signs point the direction.
