General Description

Cabe Lands Trail is a circular trail that begins from the Howe Street parking area. The trail is a moderate hike traveling over to the river's edge then circling back to the parking area. It is 1.2 miles long and considerate a moderate hike.

Directions from Durham, NC: From I-85 South to Durham, take Cole Mill exit, turn right, after 5 miles road will enter the park. From I-85 North, take Exit 170 between Hillsborough and Durham. Make a U-turn after coming off the exit ramp, go under the interstate a quarter mile, turn right on Pleasant Green Road, then turn left at intersection with Cole Mill Road. Just before crossing the Eno River you will see Rivermont Road to your right then Sparger Road to your left. Turn left on Sparger Road traveling a short distance to Howe Street. Turn right on Howe Street which takes you directly to a parking area where Cabe Lands Trail begins.
