Satellite and Topo Map

General Description

Ledge Springs Trail is a rough mountain trail that is about 1.5 miles long. Marked at each end by a distance post, the trail begins at the east end of the summit area or from the Jomeokee Trail. It is easier traveling if you start on the east end route. The trail climbs and dips almost continuously around trees and through gullies. A late spring trip will reward you with pink rhododendron and white mountain laurel blossoms.

Directions from Winston-Salem, NC: Take US 52 north for 24 miles to the park entrance. It is clearly marked. After passing the park entrance, you will come to a fork in the road. Head left, following the signs to the summit. The trail begins below the picnic area (west side of the parking area) and travels to below Little Pinnacle at the Jomeokee Trail.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: Year-round (NOTE: Slippery after rain or snow Fall. All trails close 30 minutes before park closing hours.) .
