The 204-site campground in White Lake State Park is open from mid-May through Columbus Day in mid-October. A camp store, showers, canoe rentals, ice and firewood are available. Within the park, trout fishing, swimming, hiking and canoeing are favorite activities of campers. The campground is well located to serve as a base from which to enjoy many activities and attractions in the area. It is also a good overnight spot for those traveling north and south through the area. At least 25 sites are kept available for those campers that prefer camping on a first-come / first-served basis. Attractions Include: Kancamagus Highway, a National Scenic Byway that extends thirty-two miles through the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. White Mountain National Forest provides hiking options for hikers ranging from beginner to expert. Famed tax-free outlet shopping. Only twenty miles south of North Conway.
