Horses and riders alike enjoy route around Rose Lake and beyond

In addition to 40 miles of horse trail, equestrians are given their own area for camping. Sites accommodate even the largest of horse trailers. Tie-ups at each site. Red, orange and purple-blazed trails radiate from the horse camp. Green blazes mark side trails. The red, orange, purple, and green trails are the only designated horse trails. Horses are allowed on the blue-blazed Buckeye Trail but must follow the bypass around Old Man's Cave, Cedar Falls, and Ash Cave (state park parcels).
