The South Rim Trail is a three mile loop that leads hikers between the Lyons and Hogback Formations in the park. This trail is the farthest south in the park and is rated moderate by park officials. This may be linked with Carpenter Peak Trail and Willow Creek Trail to make the loop longer or shorter respectively.
Directions from Castle Rock: Travel northwest on Highway 85 toward Sedalia. Continue approximately 6 miles past Sedalia to Titan Road. (Before the left turn on to Titan Road is a sign for Roxborough State Park.) Follow Titan Road as it turns into Rampart Range Road and leads you to Roxborough Road and the park entrance.
