Located within within the 104.6 acre Blanco State Park is a 3/4-mile loop trail, that can be used for either hiking or nature study. A self-guided booklet will be available for a small fee at the Texas State Park Store.Hiking Flora/Fauna: Hilly terrain consists of cedar, pecan, and other trees. Wildlife Observation and Photography: nutria, mallard duck, raccoon, armadillo, and squirrel. Fish include winter rainbow trout, perch, catfish, and bass.
Directions from San Antonio, TX: Travel 40 miles north on US Highway 281; turn on Park Road 23 or 48 miles west of Austin on US Highway 290 to US Highway 281, then south on Park Road 23. The park is only 4 blocks south of the town square.
