The South Draw Road is a high-clearance, four-wheel-drive road that extends southward from Pleasant Creek to the park boundary, near Tantalus Flats. It is rough and rocky, includes several creek crossings and, in inclement weather, becomes impassable to even four-wheel-drive vehicles. Visitors can reach this road by following the Pleasant Creek Road from the end of Scenic Drive to the crossing at Pleasant Creek. The South Draw Road climbs upward from Pleasant Creek, exits the park and eventually meets Utah Highway 12 on Boulder Mountain. The access to South Draw Road from Boulder Mountain is closed in winter and access from Pleasant Creek is not possible, except during the mildest winters, due to snow.
Directions from Highway 24: Turn southward at the visitor center on to Scenic Drive and travel 10 miles to Pleasant Creek Road. Follow Pleasant Creek Road southward to the creek crossing. South Draw Road ascends southward from the creek crossing.
