General Description

The trail leading to Sipapu Bridge begins approximately three and a quarter miles from the Visitor Center along the scenic drive. From the parking area it leads northward into White Canyon using a series of stairs, hand rails and ladders to descend 500 feet. The trail ends at a viewpoint of the bridge after .6 miles. It is rated strenuous by Park Service staff.

Directions from Visitor Center: Drive westward past the campground to the beginning of the one-way scenic loop. The trail to Sipapu Bridge leaves the scenic drive from the third pull off immediately after the picnic area.

Seasonal Information:
Normally Open: Year-round (NOTE: The stairs and ladders along Sipapu Bridge Trail can become slippery and dangerous during the winter.) .
