Lakes Zander and Beckman have the reputation for good fishing. Each lake supports populatioins of largemouth bass, northern pike and pan fish. Zander Creek has populations of rainbow and brown trout. The large amoung of aquatic vegetation including submerged vegetation harbors all sorts of tiny insects which make the perfect meal for fish, reptiles and amphbians. Beckman Lake offers two handicapped accessible fishing docks. Both lakes, with their grassy edges, provide excellent shoreline access thus making the park ideal for the young angler. Northern pike must be 24 inches long. Largemouth bass must be 14 inches long. Check with park officials regarding state rules and regulations. A small boat launch is availalbe. Electric motors are permitted on the lake.
Directions from Monroe, WI: Travel seven miles west along Hwy. 11. Signage directs you south into the park.
