General Description

Glimmerglass Campground is a popular attraction for campers who wish to visit the nearby Classic Revival Hyde Hall or Coopertown's National Baseball Hall of Fame. Beaver Pond Nature Center is popular as well. The campground is divided into two location for a total of 83 tent and RV sites. No electric hookup offered. Sites 1-37 offer hot showers, flush toilets and potable water with an adjacent basketball court. Other sites are more remote, located near Beaver Pond. Otsego Lake is popular with anglers who can find a boat launch near the entrance road. A covered bridge allows walkers with the trails extending around Beaver Pond and over into a woodland. Campers enjoy the swimming beach which has a concession, changing house, sand volleyball area, horseshoe pits, baseball diamond and playground. In winter, day use visitors enjoy cross-country skiing, ice fishing, ice skating, snow tubing and snowmobiling. Campground closes in October.
