Located just six miles south of Tupelo, Mississippi - Tombigbee State Park offers the finest in outdoor recreation opportunities minutes from one of Mississippi's premier shopping, dining and entertainment areas. Tupelo is the site of the bi-annual Tupelo Furniture Market, held in February and August; home of the Elvis Presley Birthplace; and the headquarters of the Natchez Trace Parkway.

Attractions - Tombigbee has a wide variety of activities and services to offer visitors. The park has many facilities to accommodate large groups and gatherings. The visitors center has catering, and there is group camping that can accommodate large groups. Visitors may enjoy the cabins and campsites for their overnight accommodations. There is fishing in Lake Lee. The lakeside group camp houses 200 and has a meeting room, 7 cabin units, 20 camping pads, 3 nature trails and a tennis court.

Recreation - Recreational activities include camping, hiking, fishing and boating.

Climate - Mississippi generally has a temperate climate, with cool winters and warm, humid summers. Freezing temperatures are possible in the winter. Thunderstorms and are possible throughout the year but most common in the spring and summer. Tropical storms occasionally strike the coast during the hurricane season.

Location - The park is located 6 miles southeast of Tupelo off Mississippi Hwy. 6.
