Number of People Encountered: 25-50 ppl Recommend to a Friend: Highly Report: Great place for fishing! We caught countless Walleye, and Smallies. There are also some BIG Brown Trout in the lake but aren't tangled with often. The biggest Walleye of the trip was about 26' and 7 pounds. Plenty of camping grounds, there is also a nice little "Inn" near also. Go to NM only local fishing forum for more www.fishenchantment.com

The campsites were very clean and very nice. The only downside was the long hike down steep rocks to get to the lake. The park rangers were very friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone and would gladly go back.

Number of People Encountered: 11-25 ppl Recommend to a Friend: Highly Report: i think that abiquiu is a great lake for fishing, other than how low the water is. Also there are some very big cliffs to jump off of which is very fun. If your on a boat whatch out for rocks in the water cause we hit one in the middle of the lake and our boats prop. was damaged, luckily our boat started up and we got to shore before anything happened. So other than that I think that Abiquiu is a great lake.
