Situated around the town are several State Parks such as the Hugh White State Park, the George Payne Cossar State Park, the John W. Kyle State Park, the Great River Road State Park and the Florewood River Plantations State Park.
Approximately 30 miles to the east is the Holly Springs National Forest. East of the town is the O'Keefe Wildlife Management Area and to the southwest is the Stoneville Wildlife Management Area. To the southeast is the Tallahatchie National Wildlife Refuge and to the southwest is the Dahomey Wildlife Refuge.
Northeast is Arkabutla Lake and heading south from this body of water you reach Sardis Lake, Enid Lake and Grenada Lake. These lakes offer many opportunities for fishing, boating and camping.
