Colorado rivers and streams offer excellent fishing and boating opportunities. Many species of trout populate the rivers as they flow through the mountains. Warm water species can be found in the plains and in the desert. Whitewater enthusiasts have a hard time finding a better place to be in the spring and summer. From the Arkansas to the Yampa River numerous kayaking, rafting and canoeing opportunities exist.
