Recreation opportunities in the Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness include hiking, backpacking, mountain climbing, fishing and horseback riding. Mechanized and motorized vehicles are not permitted within any wilderness area.
The following U.S.G.S. Quad (7 1/2 minute series) maps cover different portions of the Hunter-Fryingpan Wilderness: Aspen, Independence Pass, Meredith, Mount Champion, Nast, New York Peak, Thimble Rock. They can be purchased at National Forest offices or outdoor recreation shops.
