The toughest part of getting to this CG is the last 4 miles. Single lane with few turn-outs and rough. 2WD is suitable with average clearence. Nice CG on top of Mt. Pacifico. One of my favorites. even has a geocache. Enjoy a quiet campout. Good location for HF, VHF, UHF. May be able to get a small pop-up trailer up there but not through the CG loop. Do a recon trip up there before you decide to take up a small trailer. Bear proof trash cans are in place which means bear country. DO NOT feed the bears or leave any food/trash outside of your vehicle. I have been up there five times and never seen a bear. Beautiful sunsets.
