You can now drive all the way to Lupine Campground and then hike to Cabin Flat (not considered a campground anymore) which is about 3 miles. The drive from Blue Ridge to Lupine is breathtaking. Road is in fair condition except for one rockslide which was passible for some vehicles. The scenery the whole way was spectacular. In the middle of July still some wildflowers around.
