A bit rough on the road as you approach the CG. Veer right at fork as this is the loop road. Bring plenty of water and supplies. CG is alright. A bit burnt by most recent fire, (2002). This site is rather remote but people do drive through the CG occasionally. Plenty of PCT'ers during the beginning of hiking season. I visited this CG in May, 2003.

Angeles National Forest - The Angeles National Forest encompasses much of the San Gabriel Mountain on the northern edge of the Los Angeles metropolitan area. It serves as the backyard playground for many Los Angeles residents.
