I have been to many wonderful spots, but by far this was the BEST. I found myself enjoying the gorgeous sites and falling asleep to the sound of rushing water from the river. We all enjoyed the warmth of the day and did a lot of hiking. The best part was that we were wearing shorts at the site then bundled up and headed up the mountain to see General Sherman. My four kids ages 6-11 enjoyed the snow as did my dogs. After the kids went to sleep my husband and I enjoyed the campfire and the quite of the night. Go see the Sequoia's, visit the Caverns and leave the beauty behind so the rest can see. We took both our dogs and respected the campsite. One final note go with plenty of time. There are so many sites to see and take in. I can't wait to return, even with a six hour drive.
