Recommendation: Not Recommended
The section of trail between Mowitch and Isput campgrounds is brutally steep. Downhill is from Mowitch to Isput and is highly recommended as a day hike. the view from Isput pass is amazing. Mowitch Lake campground is terrible. would not recommend. The campground is very run down. The tent sites are hard ground and tent stakes can barely be driven into the rocky earth. Then tent pads are covered in gravel that must be cleaned off before setting up tents. The only good thing about this campground is the picnic tables that make meals a little more enjoyable.
