Recreation facilities around the lake consist of four campgrounds accommodating 81 campsites and two boat-launching ramps. The lake covers about 997 acres and is approximately 5 miles long.
Kobey Park, above the old sawmill at Lenado, is a historic logging area with many spur roads. It affords a beautiful view of the Elk Mountains, Williams Mountains, and the Sawatch Range.
