Barr Camp Pikes Peak Ranger District,

Barr Camp is located 7 miles west on the Barr Trail from the Ruxton Trailhead in Manitou Springs. Reservations are necessary during the peak season, Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Bear Lake Day Use Area San Carlos Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
Bear Lake Parking and Day Use Area provides access to Blue Lake, Bear Lake Campground and the Indian Trail.
Blue Lake Day Use Area San Carlos Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
Blue Lake Parking and Day Use Area has enough parking for 12 vehicles. Included in this site is a handicapped accessible trail to and along the south shoreline of the lake. The parking area and access trail are aggregate surfaced.
Chapman Picnic Ground Sopris Ranger District,

Chapman Campground is located adjacent to the Fryingpan River. If you are an angler, the lower Fryingpan is classified as a gold medal water by the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

There are three sites each of which accommodates up to 75 people that are available by reservation only. The park is mostly flat and open with partial shaded provided by a few large Ponderosa pines.
Grottos Day Use Area Aspen Ranger District,
White River National Forest
This is a popular area for picnicking and exploring. There is a waterfall, some interesting rock formations, an ice cave, and numerous short trails. This is a great area for families.
House Creek Campground Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
The complex has open play areas, a sanitary dumping station, a four-lane boat ramp, and parking area.
Juniper Group Site Conejos Peak Ranger District,
Rio Grande National Forest
This site has a 20 car parking area and drinking water is provided through a hydrant. There is also open space available for informal games. Firewood is not provided.
Mcphee Group Site Mancos-Dolores Ranger District,
San Juan National Forest
McPhee Group Area has camping and picnicking sites, which are next to McPhee Campground. Volleyball posts, a ball field, and horseshoe pits are provided.
Mogote - Juniper Group Picnic Ground Conejos Peak Ranger District,
Rio Grande National Forest
Picnic area with parking, fireplaces, tables, open space, horseshoe pits, and volleyball.
Mogote - Pinon Group Picnic Ground Conejos Peak Ranger District,
Rio Grande National Forest
Nearby is the Mogote Family Campground and public access to the Conejos River. Open space suitable for informal games is available.
