The following eight campgrounds surround Turquoise Lake: Baby Doe, Belle of Colorado, Father Dyer, Molly Brown, Printer Boy, Silver Dollar and Tabor. Sites at the Tabor Campground are not reservable.

This trail accesses Timberline Lake in the Holy Cross Wilderness. This is open to foot traffic only.
Turquoise Lake Dam Trail Leadville Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
The trail runs from the Sugar Loaf Dam to May Queen campground, paralleling the shoreline of Turquoise Lake.
Twin Peaks Campground Leadville Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
There are five Forest Service Campgrounds in the Twin Lakes area: Dexter, Lakeview, Parry Peak, Twin Peaks and White Star. Thirty-nine sites are available at Twin Peaks Campground on a first come, first serve basis,
Waterdogs Lakes Trail Salida Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
This trail leads 2 miles west from Monarch Pass to Waterdog Lakes. The lakes are surrounded by 12,000' peaks that form the Continental Divide.
Whistler Point Angler Parking Leadville Ranger District,
Pike and San Isabel National Forests
Whistler Point Fishing Site is located on the northern shore of Twin Lakes Reservoir near the Mt. Elbert Power Plant and Visitor Center. The lake is stocked with rainbow trout and visitors will find fair to good fishing.
