This 16-mile loop east of Estes Park connects Highways 34 and 36 through Horseshoe Park and Upper Beaver Meadows. It offers scenic views and wildlife viewing.
Fall River Road is an alternative to Trail Ridge Road, for reaching Fall River Pass. It is a one-way gravel road with many switchbacks and connects with Trail Ridge Road.
Spectacular views can be expected from the highest (12,183 ft) continuous paved highway in the Unites States. Eleven miles of the road are above tree line in the alpine tundra.
