Bear Lake Area Rocky Mountain National Park The Bear Lake Area is a popular area during the winter months for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing. The area is located on the east side of the park.
Crosier Mountain (borrow Pit-1) Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
Intermittent snow conditions usually prevail on this trail. Sufficient snow for cross country skiing and snowshoeing would only be available immediately after a significant snowfall. Check locally for snow conditions.
Lion Gulch Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
The Lion Gulch Trail is located southeast of Estes Park. It follows Lion Gulch into the Homestead Meadows area. The snow is intermittent in this area.
North Fork Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
This trail north of Estes Park follows the North Fork of the Big Thompson River into Rocky Mountain National Park.
Trap Creek Cross-country Ski Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
This Trail begins just east of Joe Wright Reservoir and Cameron Pass. It leads up Long Draw Road, then continues up the Trap Creek Trail.
Zimmerman Lake Cross-country Ski Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
This trail is located east of Cameron Pass. It follows an old logging road between Hwy. 14 and Zimmerman Lake.
