This trail is located west of Nederland and Eldora, in the Middle Boulder Creek Trail System. It accesses King Lake. This area offers relatively flat skiing terrain, with steeper pitches as you near the lakes.
Last Chance Trail Sopris Ranger District,
White River National Forest
The trail crosses Last Chance Creek near the beginning and then is an easy walk through meadows most of the way. It ends at the junction with Tellurium Lake trail.
Lefthand Park Reservoir Cross-country Ski Trail Boulder Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
This relatively easy trail begins west of Ward, on the Brainard Lake Road. The road is generally well covered until you approach the reservoir where severe winds off of Niwot Ridge may scour it clear of snow.

The Lily Lake Trail goes through areas of lush vegetation. Large, dense stands of trees make it a beautiful area to hike through, and also provide the opportunity to spot wildlife.

The views from the trail are great with lots of open meadows. This route also makes a great loop for bicycles.

There is access to many activities along the first six miles of the road. The section of road from Grizzly Reservoir to the ghost town of Ruby is much less traveled and suitable only for hiking, mountain biking and 4 WD.

The Lion Gulch Trail is located southeast of Estes Park. It follows Lion Gulch into the Homestead Meadows area. The snow is intermittent in this area.

This relatively easy trail follows an old road southwest of Nederland, west of Rollinsville. The area features some historic sites including the Giant's Ladder (a series of old railroad switchbacks on Rollins Pass) and the Mammoth Mining Co. buildings.
Marolt Property Tracks Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Trail System Used primarily as an access route between the west end of Aspen and the Aspen Golf Course and the High School tracks. Dogs are allowed.

The Maroon Creek area is located southwest of Aspen. The scenic Maroon Bells are the focal point of this area but not the only attraction.

This steep and difficult jeep road begins south of Minturn at Camp Hale. It eventually links into the Wearyman, then the Shrine Pass roads, ending in the town of Redcliff.

This trail takes the traveler through a narrow canyon to the St. Varian Mountain Trail. The road section is sheltered from the wind and easy to follow.

This trail follows an old road from the Holy Cross Ranger District Office, up Meadow Mountain to a small cabin known as the Line Shack.
Middle St. Vrain Ski Trail #910 Boulder Ranger District,
Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests
The route starts on Middle St. Varian Road, crosses the river west of Camp Dick Campground and continues west on the north side of the creek. The ski continues to the vehicle closure via the snowmobile route.
Midnight Mine Four-Wheel Drive Road Aspen Ranger District,

This is a fairly well maintained dirt road with several steep sections. It is not used by four-wheel drives as much as Little Annie or Summer Roads.
Mitchell Creek Cross-country Ski Trail Holy Cross Ranger District,

The Mitchell Creek area is located to the west of Hwy. 24, near the top of Tennessee Pass. Because of its high elevation, the area has a longer winter season than many other areas on the District.

The Morgan Creek Cross-Country Ski Trail is located north of Steamboat Springs in the Hinman Park area, on Seedhouse Road. It is one of five trails in the Hinman Park Trail System described here.
No Name/Wurtz Ditch Four-Wheel Drive Road Holy Cross Ranger District,
White River National Forest
The No Name Jeep Road is located south of Minturn. The road can link to Wurtz Ditch creating a loop back along Hwy. 24, however, snow fields remain late into the summer and the link is often not possible.
North Fork Trail Canyon Lakes Ranger District,

This trail north of Estes Park follows the North Fork of the Big Thompson River into Rocky Mountain National Park.
North Star Nature Preserve Loop Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Trail System Cross-country skiing and snowshoeing are one of the few uses permitted on its flat, open meadows close to the Roaring Fork River.
Owl Creek Trail Aspen/Snowmass Nordic Trail System This popular and scenic trail connects Aspen and Snowmass Village, hugging the south side of the Roaring Fork and Owl Creek valleys.

This trail follows Red Sandstone Road north of Vail to Lost Lake Road and eventually to Lost Lake. There are a number of other forks off of Red Sandstone Road.

Red Sandstone Road provides the main access to a large area north of Vail. The road begins in the town of Vail and is passable in two-wheel drive vehicles.

Schofield was an old mining town and is now a ghost town with a number of old building still standing. The first portion of the road passes through a narrow, steep canyon which contains a number of picturesque water falls.

The Shrine Pass Road is an improved gravel road which runs from Redcliff, over Shrine Pass, to the top of Vail Pass.

Thompson Creek Road provides access for many hiking and biking trails including the following: South Thompson, Lake Ridge Lakes, Mid Thompson, South Branch of Mid Thompson and Dexter Park. It passes through aspen groves and crosses many small streams.

This is a moderate climb with fair fishing at the lake. There is limited camping (Camp stoves ONLY) at the lake. Because of the fragile alpine tundra, it's recommended that camping be below the timberline.

This trail is located east of Cameron Pass. It follows an old logging road between Hwy. 14 and Zimmerman Lake.
